(S)ML * Unpacked: A traveling suitcase exhibition

UPDATE 4/11/13: This exhibition has ended and the paintings are now available via my Etsy shop.

(S)ML * Unpacked: A traveling suitcase exhibition
is the brainchild of art consultant/curator extraordinaire Inez Suen:

"With the idea of making original artwork available to a larger audience, this traveling show will give the viewer a glimpse of contemporary art from various parts of the world.  (S)ML suitcase is comprised of a carry on suitcase filled with petite art objects from international artists.  This suitcase is filled with portfolios of artwork, including all types of media, from painting, drawing, and collage on paper, to photography, video, metal, glass and ceramic object.  There will be strategic stops throughout the US and Asia, and I will travel with this ongoing exhibition.  New works will be added as I travel.  I plan to show the contents of the suitcase to curators, collectors, critics, art dealers, and art appreciators via private viewings from all over the world.  In 2012, I plan to visit Miami, West Palm Beach, Santa Fe, New York City, Los Angeles, Chicago, Beijing, Taipei, Singapore, Shanghai, Hangzhou, Hong Kong."

My Life In Pictures

I have just completed a massive interview/profile for this fabulous new arty website, ArtisanIdea.com.

They asked me to go in depth about how my work has changed over the past 10 years.
(The above collages are from 2003.)
It was a real trip going through all my work from the past ten years. You can see and read about my life in pictures by clicking "Retrospective" here.

They also made some nifty little Quicktime/slideshow thingys that show how I made a few of my paintings. You can read about my process and see the vidoes by clicking "Process" here.

We also did a big old interview and you can read that by clicking- you guessed it, "Interview", here.

There are loads of great artists on the site, including my fellow Minneapolis artist, ChuckU.
I can't wait to devour all of the interviews.
This was a really fun project- THANK YOU, ArtisanIdea!
