2014 CSA: Community Supported Art

It's just like a regular CSA but instead of fresh food crops you get shares of fresh/surprise ART throughout the season!

I'm excited to announce that I am once again participating in the CSA: Community Supported Arts program by Springboard for the Arts.

I contributed these fox prints (above) to the inaugural season of the CSA program back in 2010 and I am thrilled that they have commissioned me to make some exclusive new works for this, the 5th Anniversary season. This year I'll be trying something new and different for me - I'm making my own hand-pulled prints. Each one will have hand painted details so it will be truly one of a kind.

If you buy a share you will get a SURPRISE, new, original and exclusive-to-this-project work of art by each of the following artists:
"This anniversary season of CSA contains the work of 9 artists previously featured and well-loved by shareholders. The artists are: painter Jennifer Davis (Season 1), painter Alex Kuno (Season 2), fabric artist Nou Ka Yang (Season 3), sculptor Aaron Dysart (Season 2), a collaboration between writer John Jodzio and painter Laura Andrews (Season 2), printmaker Amy Rice (Season 1), multimedia artist Kao Lee Thao (Season 2), ceramicist Ginny Sims (Season 5) and sculptor Karl Unnasch (Season 1)."

Get your fresh crops right here!

Check out a PBS NewsHour segment about the project (and spy my Fox print!) here.

Art A Whirl 2014

Spaceman and SugarSkull, hand-painted paper shooting targets, 14x24" each.

Two of my hand-painted, paper shooting targets will be on display this weekend
at Art A Whirl in NE Mpls!
Stop by and say "hi" to them at vidtiger (Studio 206) in Solar Arts Building.

Art A Whirl, an annual, weekend long event, is the largest open studio tour in the country!
It is SO MUCH FUN. You must be there if you are anywhere near Minneapolis.
