My First Mural!

Last October I painted my first large scale mural at the "soon to open" Trapeze Champagne Bar in Uptown Minneapolis...and I have been waiting impatiently for them to open to the public ever since.

My wish finally came true last week.

Art A Whirl 2018

It's time for Art A Whirl 2018- and I'm actually participating as an "Artist" this year instead of as a "Beer Guzzling Zombie Art Tourist!"

I'm currently hard at work on my second large mural painting on the patio at Hai Hai restaurant in NE Minneapolis. I'll be there adding the finishing touches during their big Art A Whirl Parking Lot Party.

Artists In The Kitchen

25 Donut Paintings! 5" diameter/$40 each via Textile Center MN

"Artists In The Kitchen" pairs 50 Minnesota women artists with 50 Women chefs/restauranteurs to create collaborative art works for this massive exhibition.

The show opens Thurs, 3/29/18 from 5:30-7pm at the
Textile Center of MN and premiers in conjunction with the 25th Anniversary of Women Chefs & Restauranteurs (WCR) national conference, "Women Speak: Curating the Future of Food" from Apr 21-23.

I was beyond thrilled to be paired with Teresa Fox and Arwyn Birch, the SWEET/BADASS Boss Ladies from Glam Doll Donuts! We were instructed to incorporate some textile element into the collaboration and Arwyn came to my rescue with fabric scraps from her former life as a fashion designer. It was so fun to create my own designer donut "flavors" inspired by the fabric and, of course, Glam Dolls' divine homemade donuts! The ladies showered me with boxes of delicious inspiration...

Minneapolis Star Tribune calls it "A FEAST FOR THE EYES"
